Evaluation question one

The first evaluation question is in what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge the conventions of real media. As you know I have previously mentioned what conventions there are which have to be kept to be able to make a certain genre of a film. The genres I chose to write about was comedy and thriller genre the conclusion of my write up was tha my group decided to do a thriller genre for different reasons. The conventions of a thriller film we had to keep to make sure that my film had included for it to be able to be categorised as a thriller film was making sure my film had these certain conventions is making sure my film brings tension, suspense, excitement and mind twisting elements there any many more but these are the main ones. I think my film included all these elements.

Firstly my film does bring tension because of the name Edds dead I think this name brings it straight to the point of the film this is because the audience get a idea that someone is dead this brings tension because of the audience wondering and because of it bringing a scary appearance to th film since the word dead is in the how Edd is dead consideri the title. Another reason why my film has tension included in the film is because throughout the film before each flashback Edd is running away from someone you can tell this because he keeps look behind him mysterisally as if he is trying to get away by someone or something.

Secondly my film does bring suspense because again when Edd is running away it brings suspense to the audience this is because when Edd is running away the audience will be thinking what would happen if Edd doesn't run away. Another reason why my film has suspense included in the film is because after seeing all the flashbacks in the film and and the three different suspects which are involved in killing Edd after seeing them the audience will want to know but they will have to wait until the end of the film so throughout the film there will be suspense because of them not knowing who murdered Edd out of the possible three.

Thirdly my film does bring excitement because again of Edd running and the audience wanting to know whats going on which gets the audience excited because they start to get into the film and wonder what is going to happen next. Another reason why my film has excitement included in the film is because at the end of the two mintes of our film you see Edd get beaten up and dead which means the audience are going to be excited about finding out who did it and see if they guessed right when picking who they thought did it out of the three suspects.

Fourthly and lastly my film does bring mind twisting elements because in the different flashbacks you can see Edd doing something which was wrong so the different characters do have reasons for a motive for Edd to be dead so the audience will be thinking who had the biggest motive. Another reason why my film has mind twisting elements included in the film is because of Edd running through the moore there is not a certain destination where he is so he could be running for a while to end up at the moors.
